CPUMC MEN’S CLUB

NEW MINISTRY FOR MEN

Colonial Park is initiating a new ministry for men.  Men's Spiritual Quest is being formed to provide group support for our spiritual growth, our individual Christian outreach and the concerns of our daily lives.  It meets on Tuesday morning at 6:00 am in the conference room.  If you are intrigued with the idea of reinvigorating your Christian growth come check us out.  For further information contact Charles Gilliland at 682-7163.

NEED A RIDE?  THE UNITED METHODIST MEN WILL GET YOU THERE . . .

The United Methodist Men at Colonial Park normally have an 8:30 a.m. breakfast with a devotional on the first Saturday of each month and also a meeting with meal, devotional and (often) a speaker at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of that month.  We are aware that some Colonial Park men or potential guests who might otherwise come to the breakfasts and/or the evening meetings may be challenged to attend because either they cannot easily transport themselves or they choose not to drive in the dark.  If this is true for you or someone you know, the Men's Club has formed a Transportation Committee which will assist anyone in joining in fellowship at these gatherings of the United Methodist Men.  All you need to do is call John Oldenburg at 755-5001 or Abbot Jordan at  756-0670 and "leave the driving to us."

Yoga Classes at Colonial Park

Yoga classes on Mon. & Wed. afternoons at 5:30 in the CLC.  Yoga, as typically practiced in the West, is a practice used to attain union of the mind-body-spirit through a practice of yoga postures & breathing.  Yoga is not a religion, but a spiritual practice & does not require a specific belief system to participate.  The philosophies of yoga are universal & can be incorporated within any belief system.  Yoga can be done by anyone at any physical level & requires little to no equipment.  The classes are open to everyone & are completely funded though donations, so I encourage you all to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.  Typical Yoga studios charge up to $20 per class here in the Memphis area, so stop by & take advantage of one of the many great things Colonial Park UMC has to offer.
